The Renaissance Experience

Just as Michelangelo believed his art existed within the stone and he merely needed to remove the excess, we believe the art of life lies within us waiting to be revealed.

At Renaissance Wealth Counsel, we believe wealth to be the ability to fully experience life. Our purpose is to assist you in achieving life goals for yourself and your loved ones.

Plan

Goal Determination

Goal determination is the most important element of the financial plan. All strategies flow from goals and then resources. The determination of a desired life journey is essential to  achieving true success.

Diversify

Reduce Portfolio Risk

A globally diversified portfolio can produce greater returns with lower standard deviations than one with less comprehensive diversification. Investors should diversify broadly and stay invested to capture expected returns.

Manage

Markets Are Efficient

Current prices are the best approximation of intrinsic value, price changes are due to unforeseen events, and “mispricings” do occur but not in predictable patterns that can lead to consistent outperformance.

Dimensional Fund Advisors

Dimensional Fund Advisors trusts markets to do what they do best—drive information into prices—frees us to spend time where we believe we have an advantage, namely in how we interpret the research, how we design and manage portfolios, and how we service our clients. We take a less subjective, more systematic approach to investing—an approach we can implement consistently and investors can understand and stick with, even in challenging market environments.

Only 17% of equity and fixed income funds that were around at the start of 1999 outperformed their respective benchmarks 20 years later. Over the same period, 85% of Dimensional’s equity and fixed income funds beat their benchmarks. The figures are drawn from a selected universe of industry and Dimensional funds available in the US. Please refer to the disclosure for more details.

FINANCIAL PLANNING

We are independent and not affiliated with any other financial company or institution. We do not sell products. Our only compensation is directly from our clients. Once personal goals are established we use straight-forward, yet sophisticated planning tools that are understandable.

We need a purpose, something that grounds us and makes us better. And a truly great financial advisor digs that out.

We all have scar tissue around money just like we have scar tissue around our relationships. But, it’s important to make peace with that.

Golf and finacial advising have a lot in common. Both have infinant variables and complexities that are directed into a successful plan.

“For it is in giving that we receive.”

St. Francis of Assisi

“The music is not in the notes, but in the silence between.”

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”

Winston Churchill

“Those who danced were thought to be quite insane, by those who could not hear the music.”

Maya Angelou

“Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others.”

Cicero
